A custom WordPress redesign for Oregon's statewide cattle industry trade association, founded in 1913.
The Oregon Cattlemen’s Association (OCA) originated in Baker County in 1913 when twelve individuals sought to advance the economic, political, and social interests of the Oregon cattle industry. Today OCA is the state’s leading voice for cattle ranchers, promoting environmentally and socially sound practices, strengthening the industry’s economics, maintaining a strong political presence, and protecting property rights. OCA operates through district-level organization across the state, a political action committee (Oregon Cattle PAC), a wildfire assistance fund, a Young Cattlemen’s Leadership Program, and active media and advocacy operations. The organization provides member resources including producer tools, natural disaster assistance, and scholarship programs, while also running consumer-facing content (beef recipes, nutrition, sustainability, and “Eat Beef!” promotion).
Website Design
We redesigned and rebuilt the Oregon Cattlemen’s Association website on WordPress to support one of Oregon’s most significant statewide trade associations. The site serves dual audiences: rancher-members (who need resources, events, advocacy updates, and membership management) and the general public (who encounter beef promotion, sustainability content, and consumer education). The site is organized around six primary sections: About (leadership, staff, committees, member benefits), Resources (wildfire resources, disaster assistance, Cattle PAC, scholarships, producer tools), Media (press, news, advertising, Oregon research), Events (with calendar integration), Eat Beef (recipes, nutrition, sustainability), and advocacy campaigns. Membership join/renew pathways and donation CTAs are prominent throughout. The redesign modernized the digital presence of a century-old institution while supporting the full breadth of its member services, advocacy, and public engagement work.
Website Hosting & Maintenance
We host orcattle.com on managed WordPress infrastructure with Events Calendar integration, member login, and advocacy campaign pages that can see significant traffic spikes during legislative sessions or ballot measure campaigns. The hosting plan includes performance optimization, daily backups, security hardening, 24/7 monitoring, and direct support.
