Hurler Athletic

We designed and built Hurler Athletic a fully custom WooCommerce e-commerce store to support their unique made-to-order workflow. Unlike typical e-commerce sites where customers buy stock products, Hurler’s customers ship their own cleats to the company for custom application of the ProtecToe® guard — so the site needed to handle a non-standard order flow: capturing coverage type selection (six different coverage options, each with its own application pattern), color matching preferences, special wear-pattern instructions, quantity-based discounting, and detailed shipping coordination. We built a tailored order form with conditional logic that walks customers through each decision point, integrated automatic quantity-based discount calculation so customers see their final cost before committing, and connected the storefront to Hurler’s back-office workflow for order processing. The site itself communicates Hurler’s authority in the niche — MLB partnerships, the five major shoe brands that specify the product, the broader range of sports and professions served — while keeping the path to a custom order as frictionless as possible.

We host hurlerathletic.com on managed WooCommerce infrastructure tuned for the demands of an active e-commerce operation. The plan includes caching for fast page loads, daily backups, security hardening (firewalls, malware scanning, timely WordPress and plugin updates), 24/7 monitoring, and direct support from our team. When something needs immediate attention — a checkout issue during a busy stretch, an order workflow question — the Hurler team contacts us directly and gets a real person, not a tier-one support gauntlet.
