Ridgeview Church
A complete website redesign for a warm, multi-generational congregation in Valley Center, California.
Ridgeview Church was Bill and Sharon Trok’s way of reaching people who didn’t “do” church. They founded it in Valley Center, California, in 1999, and Bill is still its senior pastor. The congregation has described itself as a big family that prays together and plays together. Living by four values they call A.C.T.S., they are committed to loving one another and to embodying the gospel in their city and around the world. They prepare and serve meals for neighbors in need, and Bill and the church are part of a team of volunteer chaplains with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. Their work has reached as far as Malawi, where they have helped whole communities learn sustainable farming techniques.
Website Design
Ridgeview Church needed a redesign to better show what makes their community so special. For many visitors, the first look at Ridgeview is online, so the new WordPress site we built for the church greets them with the Sunday service time, the address, and a button to plan their visit. Ridgeview’s staff can change any page using the editing blocks we made for the site, and when Vacation Bible School comes around each year, they can fill in the new dates and registration link themselves.
Website Hosting & Maintenance
We’ve given Ridgeview Church advice on their projects, including suggestions for bringing the cost down on some of them. Since their new website launched, we’ve hosted it for them, and it’s our job to keep it updated, secure, and running fast all year round, so the upkeep isn’t one more thing for their small staff to carry.
