Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom
A complete website redesign for a statewide nonprofit providing free agricultural curriculum and resources to K–12 educators across Oregon.
Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom (Oregon AITC) is committed to seeing the next generation grow up and develop a love and affinity for all things agriculture. Based on the Oregon State University campus in Corvallis, the nonprofit foundation offers free curriculum, resources, and training to K–12 educators, helping teachers use agriculture to teach subjects like science, math, and history within the curriculum they already have. Their annual Agricultural Literacy Project brings volunteers into local classrooms to teach students about agriculture. In the 2024–2025 school year, their programs reached 340,337 students in every county in Oregon.
Website Design
Our work with Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom goes back to 2015, and we’ve enjoyed supporting this wonderful nonprofit through two redesigns of their website. For the first, they wanted a complete revamp that would make the site a place where educators could find agriculture curriculum for their students. In the lending library we built on WooCommerce, teachers can browse kits, books, and posters by topic and grade level, then sign in to place a hold on the ones they want. Oregon AITC’s staff have their own library dashboard, where they can see new orders and which items are coming due or overdue, and keep track of the materials out in classrooms.
Website Hosting & Maintenance
Teachers can search Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom’s lending library and request materials at any hour. The whole site is hosted with us and monitored 24/7, and we keep WordPress, WooCommerce, and the plugins the library runs on up to date. We ensure their site runs smoothly so they can effectively deliver their free resources and content to educators across the state of Oregon.
Print Design
Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom entrusts us with all their print design needs. From their yearly magazine to one-page promotional flyers, we have created beautiful and functional print designs to help them engage their constituents. We’ve done editing work on the new edition of Get Oregonized, their Oregon history textbook for students in grades three through five.
