Farmer’s Market Foods
A redesigned WooCommerce store and recipe library for a Corvallis, Oregon, maker of organic purees, pie mixes, and cranberry sauce.
Pumpkin was among the first crops that Farmer’s Market Foods’ founders, husband and wife Bill and Karla Chambers, grew after buying land in the Willamette Valley in 1985. Before long, they were pureeing their harvest in a plant of their own. The Chambers family is also behind Nummy Tum-Tum and Stahlbush Island Farms. Farmer’s Market Foods is based in Corvallis, and their line includes organic pumpkin, sweet potato, and butternut squash purees, along with two pie mixes and a cranberry sauce. Shoppers can order them on their website or through Amazon, or find them on grocery store shelves in the U.S. and Canada. Their purees have a following among food bloggers and recipe creators, including Tieghan Gerard of Half Baked Harvest.
Website Design
When Farmer’s Market Foods asked us to modernize their website, we redesigned their WooCommerce store with a custom WordPress theme and organized the many delicious recipes they have posted over the years into a collection for each product. Each time their team adds a recipe, they can choose the products it uses, and each product page shows its newest recipes, so a home baker looking at the pumpkin puree can see what they might make with it.
Website Hosting & Maintenance
Farmer’s Market Foods runs their store on our servers, where we run a monthly backup, monitor it at all hours, and install each update to WordPress, WooCommerce, and the store’s plugins. The Chambers family’s other two websites, for Stahlbush Island Farms and Nummy Tum-Tum, are with us as well, which gives their team one place to turn when something on any of the three sites needs fixing.
