A custom WordPress website for a symphony orchestra in Corvallis, Oregon, founded in 1906 and made up of university and community musicians.

The Corvallis-OSU Symphony Orchestra has grown from a collegiate orchestra of nine members in 1906 into an ensemble of 110 musicians from Corvallis, Eugene, and Portland. Students and faculty play alongside professional and community musicians in four major concerts each season, held at PRAx, the arts center on the Oregon State University campus. Once a year they give a daytime Children’s Concert for local schoolchildren, introducing them to the instruments and sounds of an orchestra. Behind the orchestra is the Corvallis-OSU Symphony Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that started in 1964 as a ladies’ support group and today sets policy and raises most of the funds for each concert season.

We designed the Corvallis-OSU Symphony Orchestra’s website around their concert calendar, where their audiences can look ahead to all the music each new season brings. Concertgoers can get to the calendar from the top of the home page and see the date of each concert, who is conducting it, and where to buy tickets. For anyone coming to their first concert, the site answers the questions they might have, from when to arrive to when to applaud. On the Support page, the patrons, donors, and sponsors who help make the concerts possible can give online or get in touch about sponsoring a concert or volunteering.
The Corvallis-OSU Symphony Orchestra’s website is hosted with us, and anyone on their team with a question about it can ask the people who built the site. We save a copy of the site every month and stay on top of the software updates that protect it, and we keep an eye on it around the clock to make sure the concert calendar works for the people planning to hear the orchestra.
