A custom WordPress redesign for a catering company that has cooked for mission trip groups serving in Baja Mexico since 1999.
Baja Cooks has been cooking for mission trip groups in Mexico since 1999, when Troy Hemingway started the business as Camping Pros and began working with Amor Ministries at the Rock Pit, their old camp in Tijuana. They have fed more than 800 groups from across North America at ministry bases, orphanages, and campgrounds throughout northern Baja California and Sonora. On site, their team cooks Tex-Mex and traditional American meals and serves them buffet style, and they can pitch a group’s tents before it arrives. They hire their staff from the communities the groups serve, and several have had their own homes built by Amor groups. Theirs is a loyal team, and many have been part of the Baja Cooks family for more than 15 years.
Website Design
Group leaders who bring a church, school, or youth group to Mexico have plenty of questions about how everyone will be fed, and we designed Baja Cooks’ new WordPress website to answer them. They’ll find the full menu, how Baja Cooks handles special dietary needs, and a sample day of meals, from coffee at 5:30 in the morning to campfire snacks after dinner. When a dish or a mealtime changes, the Baja Cooks team can quickly update the menu or the schedule on their own. Many of the groups Baja Cooks feeds travel with Amor Ministries, another of our clients, so the leaders of Amor groups can reach a page set aside for them from anywhere on the site.
Website Hosting & Maintenance
Baja Cooks’ website is one we host, back up monthly, and monitor 24/7, so the menu, the schedule, and the quote request are there for every group that needs them. When their staff need support, they know where to find us.
