A custom WordPress website for Oregon's longest continually-operating symphony orchestra, founded in 1906.

The Corvallis-OSU Symphony Orchestra is the longest continually-operating orchestra in Oregon, founded in 1906 as a nine-member collegiate ensemble at Oregon State University. Today it’s a 110-member orchestra integrating student, faculty, professional, and community musicians from Corvallis, Eugene, and Portland, performing four major concerts each season. The symphony is a collaboration between the Corvallis community and Oregon State University, bridging town and campus through shared musical performance. The symphony’s concert seasons feature guest conductors, program notes and recordings, outreach programs, and community engagement events.

We designed and built the Corvallis-OSU Symphony Orchestra website on a custom WordPress child theme to support a performing arts organization with recurring concert seasons, guest conductors, and community engagement. The site is organized around the concert calendar (with season schedules, ticketing, and program notes), the Discover section (listening archive, outreach programs, photo gallery), and the Support section (donations and community engagement). Individual concert pages link to program notes and recordings, creating a growing archive of the symphony’s performance history. The design reflects the symphony’s stature — Oregon’s oldest continually-operating orchestra — while remaining accessible to community audiences who may be attending their first concert.
We host cosusymphony.org on managed WordPress infrastructure. The hosting plan includes performance optimization, daily backups, security hardening, 24/7 monitoring, and direct support from our team. Reliable hosting is important around concert season when traffic spikes as audiences check schedules, purchase tickets, and review program notes.
