A custom WordPress website with neighborhood news, events, and a members-only area, for a community association in Clifton, Virginia.

Townhouses and single-family homes make up Union Mills, a neighborhood on 92 acres in Clifton, Virginia, in the southwest corner of Fairfax County, and Union Mills Community Association serves its residents. The association sponsors events throughout the year, like movie nights, a spring yard sale, and a fall festival with a chili cook-off, to help bring neighbors together. An elected Board of Directors governs the association and FirstService Residential manages it, while dedicated volunteers from the community do much of the work, serving on committees and helping put those events on.

Union Mills Community Association works to keep every resident informed and involved, and we designed the WordPress theme behind their website to help them do it. The association can post news, like the call for board candidates or the spring cleanup, and add events to the site’s calendar. Members can register for an account and sign in to see the community documents, board meeting minutes, and member directory. The Welcome Letter to New Residents needs no account, so people who have just moved in can read it before they register.
Union Mills Community Association’s website is one of the sites we host. We keep it backed up every month and current with each new release of WordPress and the plugins it uses. Any question or change the association raises comes to us, and we take it from there.
