Corvallis Montessori School
A custom WordPress redesign and ongoing hosting for a nonprofit Montessori school that has served Corvallis families since 1967.
Corvallis Montessori School was founded in 1967 by a group of local parents, and today the school is a community-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit, guided by a volunteer board of parents and community members. They serve children from fifteen months to six years, with a Toddler program, a multi-age Primary level for ages three to six, and a summer session in June and July. Their six classrooms at 2730 NW Greeley Avenue in Corvallis are named Ponderosa, Willow, Hazelnut, Ginkgo, Bamboo, and Maple. The school teaches with the whole child in mind, nurturing each child’s emotional, social, and physical growth along with their learning.
Website Design
We gave Corvallis Montessori School’s website a new design, built on a custom WordPress theme, so families can learn about the school and the caring guides who teach there before they visit. Parents can request a tour through the site, choosing the program they’re interested in and the Thursday morning that suits them, on a form that keeps out spam. Their staff can add and edit the profiles of the school’s guides and board members, and the upcoming events are pulled from their own Google Calendar, so there is only one calendar to look after. We answered every question and made room for each change of plans along the way, and after launch we trained their team to keep the site up to date.
Website Hosting & Maintenance
Along with building Corvallis Montessori School’s website, we host it, monitor it, and see to its security, its speed, and the WordPress and plugin updates. We’re on hand when their team needs us. That way the school’s guides and administrators can leave the technical side to us and save their days for the children and families they serve.
