A custom WordPress redesign for an AMI-recognized Montessori school that has served Corvallis families since 1967.

Corvallis Montessori School is a community-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1967 by local parents and recognized by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). The school serves children from fifteen months to six years across three programs: a Toddler program at a 4:1 ratio, a multi-age Primary level for ages three to six, and a summer session running June through July. Its six classrooms — Ponderosa, Willow, Hazelnut, Ginkgo, Bamboo, and Maple — each open onto a dedicated outdoor extension with established gardens. Guided by a volunteer Board of Directors and by lead guides who have all been part of the community since 2020 or earlier, the school is located at 2730 NW Greeley Avenue in Corvallis.

We redesigned and rebuilt corvallismontessorischool.org on a custom WordPress theme, replacing an off-the-shelf install running WordPress’s stock default theme. The site does several things at once: it introduces three programs and six classrooms without burying prospective families in detail; it makes the Thursday-morning tour the obvious next step; and it gives the office control of the pages that change most. Staff and board profiles became their own content types, so the school maintains its own guide and board rosters, and the school’s shared Google Calendar feeds the events listing directly. The tour request form is bot-protected and routes straight to the office. Montserrat and Libre Baskerville set the type throughout, and a purpose-built lightbox gallery presents the school’s photography at full size.
We host corvallismontessorischool.org on managed WordPress infrastructure tuned for a community-led nonprofit whose office fields admissions inquiries alongside everything else a school day already demands. The plan includes LiteSpeed caching behind a QUIC.cloud CDN, security hardening with daily malware scanning, timely WordPress and plugin updates, server monitoring, and direct support from our team. The school’s staff are Montessori guides and administrators, not web developers — the arrangement means the office can keep its rosters, calendar, and tour requests moving without anyone thinking about WordPress hosting, caching, or updates.

04 — Praise From the Client
I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Abide Web Design! From day one, Josh was super punctual, quick to communicate, and efficient at turning our vision into a solid contract and quick project timeline. The initial reveal of our website was even better than we had hoped for—absolutely beautiful and incredibly user-friendly. What stood out the most was how great Josh was to work with. He answered every question in record time, and anytime I wanted to pivot or change my mind, he was so patient and always provided thoughtful options. On top of that, the post-launch training included in our contract was exceptionally thorough. I am so grateful for this relationship with Abide and feel completely confident knowing our website is in great hands for the future!
