A custom WordPress redesign for a Corvallis-based materials testing laboratory serving aerospace, defense, and industrial clients.
Precision Measurements and Instruments Corporation (PMIC) started out in Philomath, Oregon, in 1991, with their founder, Dr. Ernest G. Wolff, providing thermal expansion measurements. As the need for those measurements grew, PMIC gradually added staff and equipment, and in 1998 they moved to Corvallis, into a new laboratory and office complex designed for their work. Dr. Wolff led PMIC until 2018, and their engineers, physicists, and technicians carry his vision forward, testing materials for customers worldwide, from aerospace and defense to electronics and additive manufacturing. PMIC designs and builds testing instruments as well, to specifications each customer sets, for companies with high-volume repeat testing and for research labs and universities.
Website Design
In redesigning PMIC’s website, we made a WordPress theme that presents the fascinating science behind their work to the engineers and scientists they test for. The testing service pages explain what PMIC offers, many with a table of the ASTM standards that apply, to help engineers decide which tests to ask for. The industry pages show them what PMIC has tested in their own field. Anyone interested in buying a test system can compare the specifications of PMIC’s instruments and see which one theirs could be based on.
Website Hosting & Maintenance
When the people at PMIC need help with their website, they get it from us, since we host it. We protect it from attacks and have it monitored 24/7, and because its pages carry so much technical detail, we make sure they still open quickly for everyone who reads them.
