Master Dowel
A custom WordPress website for an Iowa manufacturer of fiberglass concrete reinforcement used on highways and public works projects across the country.
Master Dowel, based in Ankeny, Iowa, makes fiberglass dowel bars and dowel baskets for concrete pavement. Dowel bars carry the load across the joints in the pavement, a job traditionally done by steel dowels. They work with engineers at state transportation departments, counties, and cities, and with roadway material suppliers and paving contractors.
Website Design
Before Master Dowel’s fiberglass dowels reach a road, engineers approve them, suppliers stock them, and contractors choose them, so we designed and built their new website around what each of those people needs to know. Engineers can go straight to a specifications page to compare the dowels with steel and request the test data they need for a DOT submittal. The supply page tells suppliers how to start carrying Master Dowel, and the installation page shows contractors what to expect, from receiving the baskets to paving. Their WordPress theme’s custom page builder lets the Master Dowel team change a page or add a new one whenever they want to.
Website Hosting & Maintenance
Master Dowel’s hosting is with us, so they have us to turn to with a question about their website or a change they’d like made. We back up their site each month, keep it under 24/7 monitoring, and take on the WordPress and plugin updates, so none of that work falls to their team.
