For the Housing Authority of Douglas County, we crafted a fully custom WordPress site that puts residents and applicants first. A clean, mission-focused design funnels visitors straight to the information that matters — eligibility checklists, wait-list timelines, landlord resources, and emergency contacts are all reachable within two clicks. Built to WCAG 2.2 AA standards, the interface combines high-contrast palettes, larger tap targets, and screen-reader-ready markup so everyone can navigate with confidence, regardless of device or ability. At the heart of the site is a secure application portal powered by advanced conditional logic: forms expand or collapse in real time based on a user’s answers, collecting only the data required for their housing selections while guiding them step-by-step through the application process. All submissions travel over end-to-end encryption, are stored behind hardened firewalls, and trigger automated status notifications — making the process transparent for applicants and efficient for staff. The result is a fast, accessible, and trustworthy digital front door that turns housing assistance into a clear, secure, and stress-free journey.
